ENCLOSURE,

Report by the Captain Supt. of Police.

Hon. Colonial Secretary.

I found the man's number (586) beside the

present Sergeant Major's on the Wa Lane List.

The amount is $1.55 for both and I have rea-

son to believe that 586 got 80 cents and 572, 70 cents a

day and Tse Leung 5 cents.

Tse Leung seems to have got another 5 cents

out of Utter Singh which would make the item 75 cents which

he says he paid Utter Singh correct. It is clear to me in any case that Utter Singh received money from the gambling

house while he was in the Police.

I think the evidence should be sent home to

the Secretary of State with reference to Utter Singh's re-

cent Petition.
